Hey! Glad You’re Here.
My name is Skylar and my goal is to help people lead fulfilling, happy lives. I became interested in functional nutrition after a long journey of trying multiple medications and therapies for anxiety and depression with no relief. I discovered functional nutrition and fell in love with it. I realized that regardless of my diagnosis, I could finally feel good again. Once I started clinical practice, I realized functional nutrition could help clients suffering from all kinds of health concern, like metabolic syndrome, thyroid disease, and more.
I help my clients discover the root causes of their symptoms. Whether it be fatigue, IBS, cramping, brain fog, or more, I’m here to act as your personal investigator. There is no judgement at Vitality With Skylar- we are on the same team, working towards a common goal- getting you feeling GREAT again.
It can be hard to open up to a new practitioner- I’ve been there, so I get it. Here are a few fast facts to get to know me better!
I’m a crazy dog mom. My 2 year old pittie, Axl Rose, is likely one of the most spoiled dogs on the east coast, if not the entire country.
I love thrifting, especially clothes. I challenged myself to buy ONLY used clothes for an entire year.
I’m obsessed with the Fall season. I can’t get enough of the apple spice lattes (iced, of course), hiking with the leaves changing, and Halloween movies (not the scary kind, the HalloweenTown kind).
I cannot wait to get to know you better!
Now, for the logistical stuff. I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health and am a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise. I’m currently working under the supervision of Alisha Temples, MS, CNS, LDN to obtain my hours needed for board certification by the BCNS.
